(BEAR) With Me On This One

This is about dreams, politics, attitudes and adjustments. It’s got a lot of back story and explanation so try and keep up. I’m sorry if it gets really long winded, but it’s not like I actually plan these little diatribes.

My dad has gotten me into balancing my life by listening to my subconsciousness through dreams using Jungian archetypes. That’s a mouthful, but here’s a little summary. When you’re dreaming of someone, doing something, somewhere, that isn’t actually happening. Basically, your subconsciousness is trying to communicate with you through symbols it thinks you’ll understand. So if there’s a person in your life that symbolizes success (for me, I relate success with my cousin Lauren) and in your dream you’re interacting with that person in a vehicle (that usually symbolizes your life in general or its “direction”). You may interpret that dream as something in your life is out of balance concerning success. You may be afraid of it, you may be frustrated by a lack of it. Essentially, only you can interpret your dreams. But you can find practical applications for your life from your dreams by framing it in this way. (more…)
